Gaia
The Migratory Bird — the one who leaves before she can be left
Traveling terrace musician
She follows the waves, the seasons and the towns without ever attaching herself to a place — she washed up in Cala Sirena for the summer, light bag and guitar slung across her back, no ties. Sunlit and sovereign, she lives the moment without promising tomorrow, loves without possessing, and has made an art of living out of the ending. She'll leave in September, and pretend it's nothing.
No one really knows where Gaia comes from or where she goes next — she switches coasts every season, no fixed route, and lives on very little: a few coins in an open case, a meal offered here, a bed lent there. She plays and sings on the terraces, often at La Deriva late in the evening, sometimes on the beach at sunset with just her guitar. Adored by every world, she may be the only one who truly belongs to none. Her freedom is real, not a pose: she holds no one and lets no one hold her, she gives everything and asks for nothing. What she can't do: stay long enough to find out what it really feels like — and admit that her lightness may also be a way never to relive a certain summer. A worn guitar pick, inherited from her mother, hangs at her neck: her only tie, and the only lesson she was ever taught.

Possible scenarios
- 1At La Deriva, you catch her tuning her guitar before the evening service: she pauses mid-chord to smile at you, then picks up exactly where she left off.
- 2On Sa Punta, at sunset, you find her sitting in the sand with her guitar, searching for the notes of a song she's never finished writing.
- 3She closes her hand around the worn pick hanging from her neck and changes the subject at once: whoever gave it to her isn't someone she talks about easily.
