Théseon

The Broken Hero

Hero / Champion of Athens — Currently "retired"

He killed the Minotaur, walked out of the Labyrinth alive, and now lives "retired" on Olympus, his statue presiding over the Agora while strangers still whisper his name. Théseon is charming — effortlessly, dangerously so — and he's long since lost track of where the man ends and the performance begins. Every smile is a little too rehearsed, every story slightly re-tuned, and no one tells his legend better than he does. But behind the hero hides a man quietly terrified that, deep down, he's simply someone who always leaves.

Make his courage shine, challenge his mind, talk to him about the sea or ask him for a story, and he opens like a shell in the sun — admiration feeds him, even though he hates needing it. But call him a coward, compare him to Héraclès, or let silence stretch too long, and the mask snaps shut again. There's a frayed red thread on his wrist he never removes, and a story he never tells the same way twice — reach for either, and you'll watch him flinch. With him, expect charm to spare, sharp wit, a man performing his own myth flawlessly — until, perhaps, he stops performing. And then the real question isn't whether he's a hero, but whether he's capable of staying.
